Moody, Ruben

Ruben Moody is a lifetime Sacramento resident, and proud Grant High School and Sacramento City College alumni who brings communications, community engagement, and client relations experience to the Programs team. His deep belief for assuring equity for all communities, especially historically underfunded neighborhoods, is what attracted him to the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce (CalAsian Chamber). Prior to working with the CalAsian Chamber, he worked for City Year Sacramento, California Latino School Boards Association, and the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce.


Coleman, Elizabeth (Merced)

Elizabeth is the Program Manager for the AAPI Strong California program. Prior to joining the chamber, Elizabeth worked at Maxim Healthcare Services, a leading healthcare provider, as a Field Support Associate for the Respite Department. Preceding Maxim, Elizabeth became a lead Student Account Assistant for the Student Financial Services Dept. at Fresno Pacific University, where she developed her communication, administrative and customer service skills. Elizabeth Coleman (Merced), a proud Fresnan, now joins the California Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce to help and to serve the AAPI small business community.


Vang, Houa

Houa is a Program Officer supporting SBTRC, primarily focusing on coordinating all activities under the Bonding Education Program (BEP). Prior to joining the Chamber, she worked at Valley Vision where she supported their first statewide project to engage diverse and vulnerable Californians in emergency preparedness activities. She graduated from CSU, Sacramento with a B.A. in Psychology and spent her undergraduate career working on campus in various program assistant and mentorship roles to support leadership, professional, and academic development programs/services to underserved students.
